Biography:: Personal Background
I have a varied background that I bring to my drafting practice. My education includes a BS in mathematics and course work in drafting from Pima Comminity College including AutoCAD (2D and 3D), residential drafting, and technical drafting. I have served in the U.S. Navy as an enlisted Electronics Technician and commissioned Geophysics Officer. I have worked as a database programmer and have been a small business owner for more than 15 years. Past employers include Davey Roofing of Orange County, CA, and Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) Engineering Department.

Other interests include jewelry making. I have professional credentials from the Gemological Instute of America (GIA).

Drafting Information
The CAD program I use for residential design and drafting is Chief Architect. This is a very powerful program that is designed specifically for modeling residential buildings. It has built in capabilities to generate 3D models, construction documents, and various rendered graphics including photo-realistic ray traced renderings. Many drawings, such as elevations and sections, can be automatically generated from the 3D model, thus saving time in the document production process
